Question Marks at booking for the Restaurant Week

From March 2nd to March 8th the culinary website organizes the Restaurant Week again. In hundreds of restaurants you can enjoy a three course lunch for € 20 .- and a three-course dinner for € 25 .- There are also a number of star-restaurants amongst them so it’s obviously a sport to score a little reservation there. A three course menu for a price that normally one pays for only a starter. We have also participated in 2007 and remember an incredible lunch in De Nederlanden in Vreeland * on their beautiful terrace at the River Vecht.

This year we had our eyes on Ron Blaauw ** in Ouderkerk a / d Amstel and * La Rive* in Amsterdam. And of course back to De Nederlanden where the new chief Wilco Berends has managed to keep his Michelin Star. American Express pleased us with a message that, because of their sponsorship of the Restaurant Week, its card holders could book a week earlier. So we were quite happy. We thought. Coincidentally I was online when their reservation login code came and responded by return mail. No way. Ron Blaauw and La Rive were fully booked already. THIS CAN NOT BE. HERE IS SOMETHONG WRONG! It takes question marks.

Nevertheless we are pleased with our lunch reservations in De Nederlanden and the new fish hotspot in Amsterdam: Nevy, which is supervised by our old golf friend Robert Kranenborg. Johannes van Dam in Het Parool was very enthusiastic and gave a 9. For the third reservation we combine business with pleasure and after this business meeting in Ede we have lunch in De Kromme Dissel * in Heelsum, where Chief Tonny Berentsen and his brigade cooked one Michelin Star together. Delicious perspectives!
